1. Civil War Character - Final Draft of Autobiography - Typed w/font that could be your handwriting or beautiful script...printed on stationary, interesting paper or plain white (you may print in class on your paper if you don't have printing at home, but have it typed! remember you can ask a parent to type it in exhange for a service you provide him/her!) 

2. Ecore - Answer Essential Questions. We will work on Inquiry sheet (#4 of the assignment) in class on Monday to answer any questions you need support with.

3. Civil War Novel - Book Complete Tues 3/18 & Final Project Due Fri 3/21 (day before Spring Break - don't be late!!)

Part 3: FINAL PROJECT – Choose 1 of the ways to share your books when you have finished them.  (You must choose a different way to share each book.) 

1.  Imagine that you are a photographer and have stepped back in time.  Using your camera, snap a photo of an important event in the story.  Develop this shot in color or black & white using any kind of medium you choose.  Make sure your shot clearly shows where the event took place, when it happened (early morning, during heavy battle), who was there and what happened.  Your “photo” must be _______ (size) and be framed.  The frame should have the following information inscribed in it: a caption, the date that it was taken, the title and author of the book.

2. Take on the role of a main character and write a letter to someone else in the story expressing your feelings and ideas about an issue that is important to that character.   Write in the first person and concentrate on choosing a voice that reflects the character’s emotions, bringing your topic to life.  Try to be original and engage your audience!

3.  Draw a comic strip that tells the story of an event/character/place in the novel which you think is exciting or interesting.  Include at least 5 scenes with dialogue. The first scene can be the title and author of the novel.  Use your imagination and creativity to make this event come to life!

4.  Make a map that traces where the main events or places the main character goes in the story take place.  Create a key to go along with your map.  It should be easy for anyone to look at the map and have a clear idea of who, what, when and where.

5.  Make a paper doll replica of a character from your novel.  Design two sets of clothing for your doll to wear.  Make sure that both your doll and his/her clothing are historically accurate.
