Week Recap

Wow!  What a crazy week!  We made it through and today was a pretty amazing day.  Iron Chef was today.  We made our Radish Butter on Toasted Baguette with home made butter and sea salt from the Pacific Ocean.  It was a lot of fun.  Everyone pulled through and we did great.  It was a simple recipe but we had some quality ingredients and effort from everyone.  Thank you so much to all the parents that came to help us make it as well as everyone who donated ingredients.

It's crazy to think that next week is the last week of school.  The only thing due is the Wildlife Tour reflection page in the Service Learning Journal. There will not be any more homework in Core class.  There are a couple things to do in class, but this last week is mostly focused on finishing up anything late or straggling.

Thursday is our end of the year trip to Peninsula Park and the Rose Quarter Fountain.  Make clothing is worn that is ok to get wet!  We will be getting pizza for the students.  They will get two pieces each.  They should each bring a water bottle and snacks as well.

8th Grade Portfolios DUE 6/10

Iron Chef is here!  Here is the recipe we will be using. We will be making radish butter on a toasted baguette.  We will also be making our own butter.  I'm excited to see how it all turns out. We will be prepping everything on Thursday morning and finishing up everything on Friday.
