1. Civil War Speeches - Complete your speech tonight...we will submit during class tomorrow.

Highlight
Green - Transition phrases/words
Yellow - Counter Argument
Light Blue - Thesis

Edits - word choice & sentence variety
Choose 1 paragraph and highlight all the repeated words (except "I") - what are alternative words?
underline the 1st word of every sentence...do you repeat? how can you increase the variety of sentences?

2. Reading - Final Essay ..,should be one full page- Due Friday May 13
3. Move-a-thon....get sponsors!! we move on friday!

We Begin giving Speeches Today!
NO official Travel - we will go out and about the neighborhood/park Identifying & studying trees
Move-a-thon tomorrow - wear shoes you can run, walk, groove in!
