Dear Class,
Thank you for making Valentine's Day really fun! I will be taping all my valentines I received to my desk :) and of course eating the lovely chocolates with joy! Thank you for giving our class time to disscuss real and important things that are going on in our school and for giving each other and our school wonderful appreciations. I hope you have another nice 3-day weekend AND get all your homework done!
1. Final Book Project - Be ready to present your book project on Tuesday. If that means you call your partner, meet up or each do your own piece! If you are doing a skit, reciting a poem or presenting a poster, practice what you will say and how you will say it!
2. Water Reflection
a. Brainstorm all things water on the white printer paper I gave you. You can draw, list, infograph..any way to express what you learned. Use your ecore to think about everything we learned: issues, facts, cool things, parts of the world, who uses the most water, things you are concerned about, things you found facinating.
b. Then choose 2 issues from your brainstorm that you feel strongly about and fill out the Persuasive graphic organizer with the most important information.
c. Be ready on Tuesday to give persuasive speeches. (You will not be writing a speech, but you will use your graphic organizer to guide you in what you say!)
3. READ!!! Read-a-thon ends on Tuesday....get a few more sponsors and units in this weekend :)
4. If you did not turn in your Incredible Shrinking story with your rough drafts - you must turn it in Tuesday! We are sharing them with our buddies.
